Compatibility:

This software is compatible with all of the 32 bit Windows operating systems (i.e. Win95, Win98, WinMe, Win2000, Win XP, WinVista, etc.).

The memory requirements are minimal so if your computer will run any of the above listed Windows operating systems, it should run this software OK too.

This software is compatible with the Ries Labs, Inc. Horsepower Computers. These include the Model ST-2400S, currently available from Star Test Dynamometer, Inc.and also the Model 2000S previously sold by AW Dynamometer, Inc.

Your computer must be equipped with a serial port (or a USB to serial converter, etc.) and a normal serial extension cable to connect to a Model ST-2400S horsepower computer. A special serial cable is required to connect to a Model 2000S horsepower computer.

Portions of this software will work without the necessity of being connected to a Ries Labs, Inc. horsepower computer. You can view and/or print the results of previously recorded data, and can use the Help program -- without being connected to a horsepower computer. You cannot display and/or record dynamometer data unless the software is connected to an operating horsepower computer via a serial port (or USB converter) and a serial interface cable.

Instructions:

1.) Download the file below (DynoDsp-Setup.exe). This is the "installer" or setup program that will install the DynoDsp software.

2.) If you want to install the program on a different computer than you downloaded to, copy the file "DynoDsp-Setup.exe" onto a floppy disk or otherwise transfer the file to the desired computer.

3.) Once on the desired computer, use the "start" button, then "run" to execute DynoDsp-Setup.exe. Follow the instructions to install the software onto your computer. Alternately, you can run the setup program from within "windows explorer" by double clicking on its name.

The installation proceeds as a normal Windows installation, and can also be un-installed (normal un-install process) if desired.

Start the "Help" program by pressing the "F1" function key to help learning how to run your new software.

NOTE: The version of the software available for download here is the newest "Beta-Test" or "Release" version of the software. Please feel free to download and install this version of the software -- and to report any problems or difficulties you encounter.
