Compatibility:

This software is compatible with any of the 32 bit Windows operating systems (i.e. Win95, Win98, WinMe, Win2000, Win XP, WinVista, etc.)

The memory requirements are minimal so if your computer will run the Windows operating system, it should run this software OK too.

This software is compatible with the Ries Labs, Inc. Horsepower Computers. These include the Model ST-2400S, currently available from Star Test Dynamometer, Inc.and also the Model 2000S previously sold by AW Dynamometer, Inc.

Your computer must be equipped with a serial port (or a USB to serial converter, etc.) and a normal serial extension cable to connect to a Model ST-2400S horsepower computer. A special serial cable is required to connect to a Model 2000S horsepower computer.

This is a "reduced capability" version of the Ries Labs, Inc. Factory Setup Software. Its purpose is to provide end users of the Model ST-2400S horsepower computers with the ability to program the "push button" torque calibration features of this horsepower computer.

Instructions:

1.) Download the file below (HpcFsu-Setup.exe). This is the "installer" or setup program that will install the HpcFsu software.

2.) If you want to install the program on a different computer than you downloaded to, copy the file "HpcFsu-Setup.exe" onto a floppy disk or otherwise transfer the file to the desired computer.

3.) Once on the desired computer, use the "start" button, then "run" to execute HpcFsu-Setup.exe. Follow the instructions to install the software onto your computer. Alternately, you can run the setup program from within "windows explorer" by double clicking on its name.

The installation proceeds as a normal Windows installation, and can also be un-installed (normal un-install process) if desired.

Start the "Help" program by pressing the "F1" function key to help learning how to run your new software.

NOTE: You are free to provide copies of this software to others -- or simply direct them to this web page so they can download the program for themselves..

NOTE: The version of the software available for download here is the "newest" release version of the software, and can also be used to "update" earlier versions. To update the software, simply download and install the software. Any earlier version of the software installed on your system will be replaced by the newer version if you follow the normal installation instructions. It is not necessary to un-install the earlier version of the software first.
